Vision Statement
The Michigan Nurses Association will be the association of choice to which every nurse belongs.
Mission Statement
The mission of the MNA is to represent its members, and to promote and advocate for registered professional nurses, nursing practice, and quality patient outcomes.
This mission shall be unrestricted by considerations of age, color, creed, disability, gender, gender identity, health status, nationality, race, religion or sexual orientation
Core Values
MNA has a commitment to champion and enhance:
- The profession of nursing
- Standards of nursing practice, education and research
- Systematic attention to human rights, concerns of nurses and health care consumers
- Quality patient outcomes
- Diversity among its members and staff
- The economic and general welfare of registered nurses and other health care employees
- Legislative initiatives that move the agenda of nursing forward
- The development and implementation of educational opportunities for its members
- An association environment that attracts and retains members through the provision of benefits and services of interest.
