MNA Continuing Education Approval Program
(CEAP)
The Michigan Nurses Association is accredited by the American
Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an approver of nursing continuing
education. Using criteria developed by the ANCC Commission on
Accreditation, the MNA Continuing Education Approval Program (CEAP)
provides a system of peer review of nursing continuing education
activities and providers.
There are two CEAP applications:
Each application contains extensive instructions, the fees and
the submission timeframes. These are available in MS Word or PDF
format. Select what will work best for your system, download it
and fill it out. See instructions in the application for further
information.
Educational Activity Application
(Word)
This application is for an activity that involves either participant
attendence (e.g. conference) or one designed for completion by
the learners, independently, at the learner's own pace (self-study).
Provider Application (Word)
Approval as a provider is recognition of a provider's capacity
to award contact hours for continuing education activities, planned,
implemented and evaluated by the provider. The provider may offer
an unlimited number of educational activities during the period
of approval. To apply as a provider, three educational activities
must have previously been approved.
Due to the large volume of applications received, MNA has established
deadlines for submission. These deadlines are found on the front
of the application. Retroactive approval of applications is not
authorized by ANCC.
