The Michigan Nurses Association serves as your voice at the capitol by actively advancing our legislative agenda by attending and testifying before legislative committee hearings, lobbying key elected officials, attending legislative fundraisers, and by building coalitions with other organizations.
In 2007, MNA members and staff testified to the importance of Safe Patient Care legislation before the House Labor Committee, appeared before the House Health Policy Subcommittee on the Nursing Shortage in Michigan, and testified on the need to stop the diversion of public money from patient care by supporting HB 4443 before the House Labor Committee.
