Proposal 3
As we continue to move farther into the 21st century, environmental concerns are on the rise. In an effort to do our part to keep Michigan cleaner and healthier, we have teamed up with several labor and environmental groups. MI Air MI Health is a coalition of health and environmental organizations committed to ensuring healthy air for Michigan communities. The coalition’s proposal was recently certified to be placed on the November 2012 ballot to increase Michigan’s renewable energy standard to 25 percent by 2025. Proposal 3 is the most important public health initiative in decades. It will dramatically help to improve the health of Michigan citizens, if it passes. The goal is to have 25 percent of Michigan’s energy come from clean renewable sources, including wind, solar, biomass and hydropower.
