President:
Coordinates and oversees all board activities and represents MNSA to other organizations. Responsible for organizing and leading board meeting.
1st Vice President:
Works on bylaws and policies of MNSA, monitors legislation affecting nursing and oversees parliamentary procedure. Leads board meeting in absence of President.
2nd Vice President:
Coordinates the necessary activities in planning for the annual convention. Leads board meetings in absence of President and 1st Vice President.
Treasurer:
Responsible for creating and monitoring MNSA's budget and reimbursements.
Secretary:
Records minutes at the monthly meetings, types them and sends copies to all board members and the NSNA
Image and Breakthrough to Nursing Chairperson:
Responsible for learning about and educating others on the present image of nursing while supporting a positive portrayal of the profession.
Membership Chairperson:
Responsible for maintaining membership lists and contact with local chapters and assisting new local chapters to obtain constituency.
Advertising Editor:
Responsible for gathering advertisements for the newsletter, website and convention booklet.
Communications Editor:
Responsible for setting up and maintaining a web site that should be updated monthly, using information from each board member.
Community Health Chairperson:
Works with local chapters in setting up community health activities.
Nominations and Elections Chairperson:
Responsible for recruiting MNSA members to run for state and national office. Oversees elections at state convention.
Newsletter Editor:
Responsible for the publication of the MNSA newsletter and helps with website updates and articles.
