NurseTalk Columns

Overheard is a short column highlighting a funny quote or anecdote occurring in the classroom, clinical or skills lab setting.

Tech Corner is a editorial product review column highlighting an opinion regarding a technological
“gadget” used by a nursing student.

Local Action highlights the events and activities happening at the local SNAs throughout Michigan.

What Color Is Your Stethoscope? highlights lesser known aspects of the nursing career path.

YOUR MNSA describes the various positions of the MNSA Board, and introduces the current occupant of any given board position.

Letter To The Editor provides a platform from which readers can express their opinions regarding any topic or a previously published item in Nurse Talk.

Ask The Experts is a column that will offer readers an opportunity to anonymously ask questions. The questions will be answered by appropriate experts, i.e. senior nursing students, school of nursing faculty, and/or experienced nurses.

General Submission Guidelines

The suggested length for feature articles is 500—750 words. Column lengths may vary amongst the various categories, but please keep submissions to under 150 words, unless otherwise indicated. Photos are highly encouraged. They bring life to the story and add interest to your submission.

When you submit your article, remember to include: your name, school of nursing, and email address.  Submissions in MS Word and Rich Text Format are preferred.
