Share the excitement of Nurses March 2011!

03.31.2011

Over one thousand nurses and nursing students rallied on the Capitol steps on March 30th in response to Governor Snyder’s proposed budget cuts.

“We cannot go on blindly ignoring what is happening to Michigan patients in our state,” said Jeff Breslin, RN, MNA President. “The people we serve deserve better. Many of the cuts being proposed by our legislature will leave deep, bleeding wounds in our patients. Some cuts never heal.”

Nurses were presented with detailed information regarding both the national political landscape and the Michigan political environment earlier in the day.

During a panel discussion, nurses asked pointed questions about the shortage of nurses, short staffing, inferior supplies, patient satisfaction surveys and more.
