2005 Michigan Nurses Foundation Scholarships
Nursing Student Applications now being accepted

Okemos, Michigan – Application are now being accepted for the 2005 Michigan Nurses Foundation (MNF) Scholarships.

MNF awards scholarships annually to potential and current nursing students who plan to begin their studies in nursing or advance their education in nursing.

The Foundation’s Scholarship Committee reviews the applicants’ GPA and academic record, financial need, and community service. Each applicant is also asked to submit an essay describing how the scholarship funds would enable them to achieve their practice goals in nursing. Recipients receive a $500 scholarship toward their education.

The 2005 MNF scholarship applications are available on-line through the Michigan Nurses Foundation website (www.michigannursesfoundation.org or by calling Pam Wojtowicz at 517/349-5640 x13. The application deadline is July 15, 2005. Recipients will be notified by September 1.

The 2005 scholarships will be awarded on October 4, at the Marriott Eagle Crest Conference Resort in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

The Michigan Nurses Foundation advances nursing and nursing education by awarding scholarships, research grants, and financial aid for the treatment of impaired nursing professionals. Through MNF, opportunities are provided for those who wish to provide a legacy today for tomorrow’s nurses.
