Fletcher named new MNA Government Affairs Director
Okemos, MI – The Michigan Nurses Association (MNA) recently named Ken Fletcher as the Director of Government Affairs.
Ken has a long track record of effectively working to find solutions to problems that face nurses. Most recently, Ken worked with MNA on HB 4339, Michigan’s Safe Patient Care legislation and SB 377, Michigan’s Safe Patient Lifting legislation.
“I’m both honored and excited about joining the great team at MNA,” Ken states. “The MNA is a dynamic organization and I’m looking forward to being your voice and advocate at the Capitol.”
Ken was with the Michigan AFL-CIO in various roles since 1988, most recently serving as the Legislative Director. He was a delegate from the 7th Congressional District to the Democratic National Convention in 2004 and a former member of the Ionia City Council. Ken holds a BA from James Madison College at Michigan State University.
