Doerr named as MNA CEAP Coordinator
Okemos, MI – The Michigan Nurses Association is pleased to announce that Mary Jo Doerr, MSN, APRN, BC has been selected as Continuing Education Approval Program (CEAP) Coordinator. Using criteria developed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Doerr will guide a peer review system of nursing continuing education activities and providers. MNA is accredited by the ANCC as an approver of nursing continuing education as well as a provider of nursing continuing education.
Doerr is a member of the nursing faculty at Ferris State University. She teaches in the areas of health assessment, leadership, fundamentals, maternity nursing, community nursing and oversees the senior clinical practicum to ADN and BSN students.
She has consistently built her education throughout her career, beginning with her LPN certificate from Mid-Michigan Community College in 1978. Her MSN, from Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions in Philadelphia, PA, was completed in 2004. In between, she earned her ADN and BSN degrees from Ferris State University and was certified as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner-Michigan Nurse Practitioner in 1995.
