Michigan Nurses Association announces new leadership roles
Okemos – The Michigan Nurses Association (MNA) has announced a change in its governance structure. Effective immediately, John Karebian, former MNA Executive Director of Labor and Government Relations will assume responsibility for the organization as Executive Director of MNA. Tom Bissonnette, MS, RN, CAE, formerly MNA Executive Director of Nursing Practice and Operations will serve as the Associate Executive Director of Nursing Practice.
“We are excited about the new opportunities presented by this change,” said Diane Goddeeris, RN, MNA President. “As the long time director of MNA’s labor program, John Karebian is well suited to advance the causes of Michigan’s largest union for registered nurses. The new leadership structure will provide Tom Bissonnette with the time and undivided focus needed so that an expanded nursing practice program can be developed for both our members and all Michigan RNs.”
