The Safe Patient Care Act has been introduced, and now we’re planning a full-court press for the next step: getting a hearing on these bills in the Legislature.  We need RNs to come to Lansing to talk to their legislators about why it’s so important to move this plan forward.

Your voice and experience are vital! Legislators respect and listen to us as registered nurses. Please help make a difference by participating in this day of advocating for safe staffing laws, including:

• Training on how to lobby effectively as an RN;
• Pre-arranged meetings with state Representatives and state Senators;
• Sharing your lobbying experiences and an action plan with fellow nurses;
• Going back to your workplace and community feeling empowered and accomplished.

Breakfast and lunch are included in this free daylong activity for RNs. If time allows, we may squeeze in a tour of the Capitol and observation of House session.
