(Lansing, MI) The following should be attributed to Michigan Nurses Association President John Armelagos, RN:

“This case is yet another example of billionaires and CEOs attacking working people. At hospital systems across the state, MNA nurses challenge corporate executives who want to put profits over patients. It is through the collective voice of our union that nurses are able to demand that the interests of our patients and communities come first.

“The corporate powers behind Janus want to divide and weaken us, but we know that our strength comes through being united in the workplace. That is why our union has grown since 2012 when Michigan’s so-called ‘Right To Work’ law was passed. Our power comes in our unity as nurses, not from any court decision or politicians.”

The Michigan Nurses Association (MNA) is the largest, most effective union for registered nurses in Michigan, advocating for nurses and their patients at the State Capitol, in the community, and at the bargaining table.
